Claudia Lessig and sophomore
Jordan Grindol delivered solid all-around efforts Monday to lead the Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team to a 188.250 total at the Utah State quad meet at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
The Seawolves finished fourth in the team standings, behind host Utah State (195.875) and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rivals Southern Utah (195.525) and Sacramento State (191.075).
Lessig finished runner-up in an all-around field of four, producing a score of 37.750. The junior from Spring, Texas, had her best effort on balance beam, tying for sixth at 9.725, along with a 9.625 on uneven bars.
Meanwhile, Grindol produced a 37.600 in the first all-around of her career. The Sulpher, La., native led UAA with a 9.475 on vault, along with a 9.55 on beam and a 9.525 on floor exercise.

Tessa Richardson and junior
Jada Niles scored 9.575s on bars, while seniors
Ariana DeSouza and
Madelyn Gomez led UAA on floor exercise with 9.6 and 9.575, respectively.
