FAIRBANKS - Malcolm Campbell notched his first career double-double and Casey Robinson scored 15 points Friday as the Alaska Anchorage men's basketball team fended off an upset bid by Grace Bible College with a 81-69 win in the Glacier Classic at the Patty Center.

The Seawolves (4-2) got 20 points and 10 rebounds from Campbell, a 6-9 sophomore center, as they erased an early 30-17 deficit against the defending National Christian College Athletic Association national champions.

Forward Allen Durham had game-highs of 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers (12-5), but the Grand Rapids, Mich., squad could not capitalize on hot early shooting.

Facing their biggest hole late in the first half, junior guard Drew Robinson sparked the Seawolves with eight points in a 10-0 run that lasted just 80 seconds.

Tied at 38-38, UAA wound down the clock and converted an alley-oop from Kevin White to Campbell just before the halftime buzzer to take the lead for good.

Campbell scored the first basket of the second half and junior guard Brandon Walker (10 points, 8 rebounds) nailed a three-pointer with 14:09 remaining that made it 56-45. The Tigers were not able to slice it to single digits the rest of the way.

Kevin White finished with 13 points (3-5 3FG) and a game-high six assists, while Drew Robinson had 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. Casey Robinson added six rebounds and a UAA season-best five steals.

The Seawolves return to the Patty Center at 3 p.m. Saturday to face Grand Canyon in a key NCAA Div. II West Region contest.
