CALIFORNIA – The University of Track and Field teams posted 12 top-10 marks at a pair of meets in California Friday.
Liv Heite led four Seawolves to top-10 finishes in the 100 hurdles. Heite won the race in a time of 14.71.
Blanca De Arvizu Sarrias finished third (14.78), Mette Van der Meer fifth (14.81) and Lacie Simmons ninth (15.19).
Heite finished fifth in the 400 hurdles in 1:04.29, the sixth-fastest time at UAA. Sarrias finished sixth in 1:05.07.
Kevin Angarita finished third in the men's 400 (48.17), and Joei Vidad finished fourth in the women's (58.30).
UAA had three freshmen debut in the multi-events.
Vivien Liessfeld finished seventh in the heptathlon with 4,521 points, sixth-most points in school history. Her long jump of 18-6 ranks fifth all-time, her javelin throw of 109-8 ranks sixth all-time and her shot put of 35-2 ranks 10th all-time.
Jess Chisar finished 12th in the heptathlon with 3,942 points, 10th-most in school history.
Ander Larsen finished fourth in the decathlon with 5,791 points, fourth-most in school history. His pole vault clear of 11-7.75 ranks sixth all-time, his javelin throw of 147-4 ranks ninth all-time and his high jump of 5-8.5, ranks 10th all-time.
John Peckham finished fifth in the steeplechase with a time of 9:07.84, eighth-fastest in school history. Ries Tveit placed 11th (9:26.57).
Nell Baker finished ninth in the women's 1,500 (4:36.47), and Zach Kohler was 29th in the men's (4:00.30).
Mikayla Mader finished eighth in the high jump (4-11.75), and Eric Bushnell placed 13th in the discus (128-1).
Riday Jana finished 13th in the 100 (11.08) and 15th in the 200 (22.09), tied for ninth-fastest in school history.
Marc Mercier placed 15th in the 100 (11.11), and Brian Morris finished 20th in the 200 (22.34).
UAA will compete at the Aztec Invite hosted by San Diego State Saturday.
