SEATTLE – University of Alaska Anchorage sophomore Joshua Caleb ran his third NCAA Div. II national-best time of the season by running a school and GNAC-record time of 47.22 in the 400 at the UW Preview Friday.
Max Kremser tied the previous record in the 400 by Kevin Angarita by running 47.88 to finish fourth.
Jess Chisar ran the fourth-fastest time in school history to finish 10th in the 800 in 2:11.06.
Marc Mercier finished second in the long jump with a leap of 23-6.75/7.18. He ran 7.07 in the 60 to place 32nd.
Ryann Smith ran 10:00.62 in the 3,000, the ninth-fastest time in school history, to finish 43rd. Avery Williamson finished 54th in 10:09.36.
In the men's 3,000, Charlie Hulbert finished 37th (8:22.84) and John Peckham placed 59th (8:35.44).
Liv Heite ran 8.96 to finish eighth in the 60 hurdles, and Lacie Simmons ran 9.15 to finish 10th.
Alaska Anchorage will compete in the mile races at the Mile City event Saturday in Seattle.
