ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage had 22 student-athletes earn Academic All-Region honors from the College Sports Communicators.

Jarred White of the hockey team was named to the at-large team, along with 15 members of the ski team, Matt Seline, Peter Hinds, Caeden Carruthers, Corbin Carpenter, Jan Ronner, Ella Bromee, Beth Granstrom, Marlie Molinaro, Carmen Nielssen, Ainsley Proffit and Strid Stav.

The UAA cross country and track & field teams, had 10 individuals honored, John Peckham, Marc Mercier, Ty Elliott, Joshua Caleb, Stephen Zukowski, Nell Baker, Liv Heite, Lacie Simmons, Mette Van Der Meer and Avery Williamson.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and athletically, have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet athletic requirements by sport. Schools are limited on the number of nominations they may submit.
