SEATTLE (Jan. 29) - Greg Freeman and Serge Using both had big evenings as the UAA men's basketball team completed a two-game road sweep with a 76-66 victory over Seattle University at the Archbishop Connelly Center Saturday night. UAA (11-7) got 22 points from Freeman and 14 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks from Using, while the Redhawks (6-13) were led by Jeff Nelson's 19-point effort.
Freeman posted his second consecutive 20-plus-point showing by going 8-for-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 on three-pointers. The junior from Helena, Mont., also grabbed six rebounds and made three steals.
UAA's Chris Hamey chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds and a game-high five assists.
The Seawolves return to Anchorage for seven of their last eight games, beginning with next weekend's non-conference doubleheader with Lincoln University of Missouri. UAA takes on the Blue Tigers at 7:05 p.m. at the Sports Center, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4 and 5.
