Seawolves earn academic honors

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage had nine student-athletes earn Cross Country/Track and Field Academic All-Region honors from the College Sports Communicators.

The four men to earn the honor are Cole Nash (economics/real estate management, 4.0), John Peckham (marketing/accounting, 3.93), Felix Roberston (accounting, 3.61) and Michael Zapherson (real estate management, 4.0).

The women to earn the award were Nell Baker (Interdisciplinary Studies, 4.00), Blanca De Arvizu (Civil Engineering, 3.92), Mikayla Mader (Public Administration, 4.00), Joei Vidad (Nursing, 3.88) and Tressa Wood ((Psychology, 3.84).

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, have a 3.50 GPA and rank in the top-50 in a single event in the region.
