SILVER CITY, N.M. - Freshman forward Peter Bullock scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds and the Seawolves shot 58 percent as the University of Alaska Anchorage men's basketball team scored a 94-66 Pacific West Conference road win over Western New Mexico tonight.
Senior point guard Ed Kirk scored 20 points for UAA (10-5, 4-2 PWC), while L.T. Williams led the Mustangs (1-13, 1-5) with 16 points.
Freshman guard Nathon Glover was held to single-digit scoring for the first time in five games (6 points), but he came through with a career-best five assists. Meanwhile, guard Taylor Wagner went 6-for-7 from the field, including 3-of-4 on threes, to score 17 points.
UAA shot 58.3 percent (35-60) as a team and held the Mustangs to 45.8 percent (27-59).
The Seawolves and Mustangs play again here Saturday night at 5 p.m. AST. Both games count in the conference standings.
